Pistol and Rifle Club’s Mission:
The mission of the Pistol and Rifle Club (PRC) at Virginia Tech is to promote education and involvement regarding the rights given to all Americans in the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, to practice those rights in a safe and legal manner, and to bring together all students of Virginia Tech who wish to express a passion for recreational and competitive shooting, supporting our Constitutional rights, and sharing these common interests with other students for years to come.

Pistol and Rifle Club’s Purpose:
The purpose of the Pistol and Rifle Club (PRC) at Virginia Tech is to safely and legally enjoy the rights given to us in the 2nd Amendment, to educate students about legislation and legal issues involving these rights, provide means for students to shoot recreationally with fellow members, and to establish the premiere bench rest and tactical competitive pistol and rifle team at Virginia Tech.

Pistol and Rifle Club Safety:
The Pistol and Rifle Club will stress safety in every aspect, with any shooting sports accidents can lead to serious injuries including death. Every member of the club must pass a basic safety test to prove their competence with a firearm. If you are new to the sport, we will train you how to properly and safely discharge a firearm if you are willing to learn. In every respect of the sport we must stress safety in order to protect all those on the range.
